Learn about our culture of innovation and how we’re applying “Lighting the Way” solutions to the Industries that we serve.
Meet the people who lead Avionics and how their innovation delivers results for our clients.Avionics was Incorporated in 2007. Initially setup to handle airfield lighting specific installation projects and to partner the Swedish based company FMT to supply and deliver a new Cruise Ship Passenger Boarding Bridge for Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal located at Circular Quay.
Managing Director, Nicholas Brumley holds a Degree in Construction Management and was brought into the field of airports after progressing to a Construction Coordinator role on Hong Kong’s New Chek Lap Kok Airport in 1996. Nick stayed in Hong Kong for 2 years before being invited to take the helm at Sydney Airport for Thorn to deliver some key projects for the 2000 Olympic Games. Nick maintained the role of Senior Project Manager with Thorn for 10 years covering Australia and SE Asia, dominating the airfield market in this period.
It was in Hong Kong that Nick first met Electrical Supervisor of Construction Shane Webb. Shane’s passion for Airports and in particular his unique abilities to change methods of installation saw the natural progression with Nick via Avionics as a partner and Director of the company.
