AV103BL – Elevated Runway Outer Threshold Light
Used if increased compliancy of the runway threshold is desired. The runway edge lights aligned with the threshold position are replaced with omnidirectional lights on each edge. These lights are a unidirectional green.
Avionics AV103BL is derived from the runway edge light and its luminous intensity output must be between 1 and 1.5x of that of the runway edge light.
AV103BL meets CASA MOS 139 requirements at 10W of power, thanks to superior highpower LED chips and specially designed parabolic reflector that directs the vertical light from the eight LED chips into horizontal 360-degree light beam with high efficiency.
