Engaged by Fulton Hogan, we continue our relationship with RAAF Townsville upgrading their existing AGL system.
This is a major works project scheduled to be completed over a period of 2 years. The scope of this project includes all works associated with the installation, extension and augmentation of AGL as part of the runway extension and wider afield maintenance works. The works include modification of the existing supply/control system located within the existing ALER.
The works comprise:
– Supply and installation of new Simple Approach Lighting System (SALS) to Runway 01.
– Supply and installation of new Medium Intensity Runway Lighting (MIRL) including runway edge, threshold/end lights, as well as turning node edge lights.
– Supply and installation of Runway Threshold Identification Lights (RTIL) for the reconfigured Runway 19 permanent displaced threshold.
– Supply and installation of new taxiway centreline lighting to replace the existing on Taxiways A1–A7, D1-D2, K, E1-E2, G1-G2, W and Z, M, S, T, U1-U2, V, Z and Maritime OLA 12-14, EOA 11, Fighter Strike OLAs 1-10
– Lift and reinstatement of existing taxiway centreline lighting associated with pavement works in the vicinity of Taxiways B3, K, D1 and J.
– Supply and installation of new Central Illuminated Wind Direction Indicator (IWDI) GHD | Department of Defence | 12550954 | Specification – Aeronautical Ground Lighting 10
– Supply and installation of new Movement Area Guidance Sign (MAGS) including Distance to Run Markers (DTRMs) and Hook Cable Markers (HCMs)
– Supply and installation of new pit and duct where shown on the drawings
– Supply and installation of new primary cabling where shown on the drawings
– Augmentation of the AGL Control System (AGLCS) to introduce RTIL control functionality and adjustment of the SCADA screen layout graphics to reflect the revised configuration of Runway 01/19.
